Jati Sidhu

Biography
Jatinder Sidhu is a Canadian politician, who represented the riding of Mission—Matsqui—Fraser Canyon in the House of Commons of Canada from 2015 until his defeat in the 2019 Canadian federal election.
Previously an entrepreneur, Sidhu entered politics after many years of community activism and volunteer service.
Controversy
In February 2019, Sidhu made what were considered inappropriate comments about Jody Wilson-Raybould during the SNC-Lavalin affair stating "The way she’s acting, I think she couldn’t handle the stress", she was not a "team player", that her discomfort was caused by “a lack of experience,”and "I think there’s somebody else behind — maybe her father — pulling the strings."
Sidhu made a formal apology in the House of Commons on February 28, 2019.
