Biography
Hugo Verpoest (17. mai 1935 – 29. september 2012) oli Belgia kabetaja, rahvusvaheline meister. Ta oli 1955. aasta maailmameister kirikabes. Belgia meistrivõistluste finaalturniiridel mängis ta aastail 1954–1993 kokku 40 korral ning võitis neilt 18 meistritiitlit (1960–1961, 1963–1968, 1970–1971, 1973–74, 1978–1982). Maailmameistrivõistluste laua taga mängis ta kolmel korral (1956, 1960 ja 1964), kus tema laeks jäi 8. koht.
Ka tema vend Oscar oli nimekas kabetaja.
