Biography

Harrison G. Gough (1921–2014) was an American psychologist who worked on personality tests, he developed more than 30 instruments over the course of his career, including the California Psychological Inventory. Gough received the Bruno Klopfer Award in 1987.
He developed the California Psychological Inventory in 1956.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Minnesota in 1942 and his Ph.D. in 1949. His PhD advisor was Paul E. Meehl.

Personal life

He married Kathryn Whittier in January 1943. They had one daughter.
