Biography
Grace Whitney-Hoff (Détroit (Michigan), 22 octobre 1862 — Lausanne ou Détroit (Michigan), (à 76 ans)) est une philanthrope américaine.
Issue d'une grande famille de Détroit aux États-Unis, elle vint s'établir en France en 1900 lors de son second mariage. Elle consacra une grande partie de sa fortune à des œuvres philanthropiques. Elle fonda notamment en 1906 le Foyer international des étudiantes à Paris et une maison de retraites pour veuves de guerre à Peyrieu, dans l'Ain. Elle réunit également une collection de manuscrits, d'incunables, d'éditions rares et de reliures anciennes, dont A. Boinet rédigea le catalogue en 1933.
