Biography
Giovanna Fletcher (née Falcone; born 29 January 1985) is a British author, public speaker, actress, television personality and vlogger. She has been married to Tom Fletcher from the band McFly since 2012, with whom she has two young boys, Buzz (born 2014) and Buddy (born 2016).
Her first book, Billy and Me was released in paperback in May 2013, and a year later she returned with a second title, You're the One That I Want, in May 2014. The following year, Dream a Little Dream was published in June 2015, and a fourth novel, Always with Love followed in June 2016.
Along with her husband she is an active vlogger on YouTube, where she has her own channel and also combines with Tom to document their family life. Her brother is The Only Way is Essex personality Mario Falcone.
The McFly song All About You was written by Tom about Giovanna as a Valentine's present in 2004. Tom reworked the song, as well as Obviously and The Heart Never Lies, for his wedding speech. The video of the speech went viral and to date has more than 18 million views on YouTube.
Early life
Giovanna was born in Essex, England. Daughter of an Italian father, Mario and and Argentine mother, Kim Falcone, she has two siblings: Giorgina and Mario. Her brother Mario Falcone is an English television personality, best known for starring as himself in the ITV2 semi-reality programme The Only Way Is Essex.
She attended the prestigious performing arts school, Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, where, at age 13, she met Tom Fletcher, whom she would later marry in 2012.
Upon finishing her studies at Sylvia Young, Giovanna went on to study at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, aspiring to become an actress. She graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2006.
TV and Film Work
Giovanna has been on screen several times, including an uncredited role in The Boat That Rocked (2009), as a guest on Loose Women (2016) and as a contestant on All Star Mr & Mrs (2013). She has also had regular appearances on ITV's morning TV show, Lorraine since 2015, including presenting a segment for the show called Take 5.
On October 6th 2011 Giovanna launched her own YouTube channel called Giovanna's World where she films videos for an audience of over 170,000 subscribers and counting, amassing over 15 million views to date.
Writing career
Giovanna's writing career was born out of a desire to keep busy between acting jobs, starting with a just-for-fun, unpublished project entitled Dating McFly is for Dummies, which is what whet her appetite for writing.
Prior to becoming an author, Giovanna wrote for several magazines, including:
- doing work experience at Heat magazine, writing book reviews and writing for their website,
- doing an internship at Bliss magazine
- working at Recognise Magazine
Today she has a regular blog feature on Hello! magazine's website.
Through her blogging and book reviewing work, Giovanna networked with authors and literary folk at book events. It was in one of these events that Giovanna spoke to novelist Dorothy Koomson, and it was this pivotal conversation that inspired Giovanna to write a book of her own.
Since 2013, Giovanna has been a published novelist, specialising in the women's fiction genre.

In 2017 she published her first non-fiction book, Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures in Motherhood.
Musical career
Giovanna has sung in musical performances on several YouTube videos, posted to her husband, Tom's, YouTube channel. She has performed duet covers in a series called "Me & Mrs F", covering songs including "How Do You Like Your Eggs In The Morning?", "It Ain't Me Babe", "L-O-V-E", "You Really Got A Hold On Me", "Moon River", "Love Is On The Radio", and "Tonight You Belong To Me". Most of these covers have over half a million views each, with "Love Is On The Radio" having accumulated 1.8 million views over 3 years.
In December 2016 she had her professional concert debut, singing on stage in London's West End in Alan Menken's A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre.
Personal life
On 18 April 2011, Giovanna became engaged to her schoolmate and longtime boyfriend Tom Fletcher. He proposed to her at the Sylvia Young Theatre School where they first met at age 13. They were married on 12 May 2012 with his McFly bandmates serving as his groomsmen.
It was announced on Tom Fletcher's YouTube channel on 29 October 2013 that the couple were expecting their first child, with a video titled, We Have Some News... At exactly 7 pm on 13 March 2014, their son Buzz Michelangelo Fletcher was born. Tom and Giovanna created a YouTube video, called Bump to Buzz to announce the arrival of their first son Buzz, which has over 13 million views.
The Fletchers announced on 3 September 2015, again on YouTube, that Giovanna was expecting their second child, by means of a video entitled 'Player 2'. On 16 February 2016, their second son Buddy Bob Fletcher was born. The video announcing the birth of their second son was titled Bump to Buddy, where they took pictures documenting their second pregnancy, together along with their son Buzz present.
