Biography

Filippo Tortu (born 15 June 1998) is an Italian sprinter. He begin to play sports at the age of eight years, dividing his time between athletics and basketball.

Biography

In 2010 and 2011 he won in the categories of first and second media, the title of fastest guy in Milan and is dedicated to athletics definitely Salvino coached by his father, former sprinter. In 2013 he won the 80 meters at the Italian championships cadets Jesolo with 9 "09 time. Trials for the European Youth Olympic Games, in 2014, took third place in the 100 meters, though lacking the qualification that instead obtained in the double distance. For Youth Olympics, during the batteries of 200 meters, it falls on the finish line, breaking both arms and can not then play the final. In 2015 he realizes the Italian record of 100 meters with 10"33 and 200 meters with 20"92.

In 2016 realizes in Savona on Italian junior record of 100 meters, getting twice the 10"24 time [1]; this record was unbeaten for 34 years, as held by Pierfrancesco Pavoni who ran the distance in 10"25 to Europeans Athens 1982. A month later, he landed in Rieti his first Italian title, winning the race of 100 meters in 10"32. Takes part in the European Championships in Amsterdam, where, after winning its own battery, to qualify for the semifinals running in 10 "19, new Italian junior record, failing, however, to reach the final for 3 cents. Also it runs in the final stage of relay 4 × 100 that, who qualified for the final, ending the race in fifth place. He participates at the World Under-20 in Bydgoszcz, where he won the silver medal in the 100 meters with 10 "24. In the same event participates in the relay 4 × 100 that, who qualified for the final, finished seventh.
