Biography
Elsa Wolliaston or Elsa Woliaston (born 28 June 1945) is a Jamaican choreographer.
Life
Wolliaston was born in Jamaica. She has lived in France since 1969.She helped develop contemporary African dance, in the 1970s in Europe.With Hideyuki Yano, she founded Ma Danse Rituel Théâtre in 1975.In 1985, she created in Paris the Cie One Step,her current place of creation and teaching.She writes and performs many pieces in collaboration with musicians. She appeared at Festival Avignon.
