Elizabeth Cassidy

Elizabeth Cassidy is a British former television actress who was active in the 1970s.

Career

Cassidy made her acting debut in 1974, with a minor role of a girl in Holloway in the "Lady Constance Lytton" episode of TV mini-series, Shoulder to Shoulder.

In 1975-76, was seen in two episodes of Z Cars: as "Karen Kelly" in Innocent and Vulnerable (1975,) and as "Norma Hatton" in Prisoners (1976.) Actor/director Paul Seed, her future husband, was one of her co-stars.

The same year, in 1975, she was cast as "Anne Darracott" in the episode "Gangsters" of the BBC's hit TV series, Play for Today. BBC followed up the episode in 1976 into its own TV series, Gangsters. Cassidy retained the role of "Anne Darracott" character and was seen in twelve episodes of the series. The star-cast of the drama had Maurice Colbourne in the lead role of John Kline, alongside Alibe Parsons and Terry Downes among others.

After Gangsters, Cassidy appeared as "Pamela" in "Going to Work" episode of Going Straight (1978) and as "Margaret Stone" and "Jean Tate" in three episode of Crown Court. She was last seen on TV in 1979, portraying the character of "Rue" in the TV series, Turning Year Tales.

Personal life

Cassidy is married to actor/director Paul Seed. The couple lives in Torrington, Devon, England.
