Edmund na Féasóige de Burca, 4th Mac William Iochtar and lord of Lower (North) Connacht, died in 1458.
- M1446.3. O'Donnell marched with a great army into Connaught, to assist his friends; he went first to the territory of O'Rourke, and from thence through Magh-Nisse, across the Shannon, into Moylurg, through Machaire-Chonnacht, and through Clann-Conway; and Mac William came to Dunamon for him, and conducted him afterwards into Conmaicne Cuile Toladh.
- M1458.9. Edmond Burke, Lord of the English of Connaught, and of many of the Irish of the same province, the choice of the English of Ireland for his personal shape, comeliness and stature, noble descent, hospitality, clemency, and veracity, died at the end of this year.
