Easy Pickens (real name: Samuel T. Lindley) was an American actor. He is known for appearing as "Easy" in Sam Peckinpah's The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970).


Pickens was born on December 31, 1921, in Kingsburg, Fresno County, California. He is the younger brother of American actor,  Slim Pickens (real name: Louis Burton Lindley, Jr.)

In 1970, he played the character of "Easy," alongside actors David Warner, Stella Stevens, and Jason Robards in director Sam Peckinpah's comedy/drama, The Ballad of Cable Hogue.

Personal life

Pickens was married his first wife, Shirley Mae Andersen, on 26 October 1947. They had two children and the marriage ended in divorce (date unknown.) He was then married to his second wife, Marilu A Althouse, from 8 October 1956 to 1974. The marriage ended in divorce; they had one child.


Pickens died on January 24, 2001 in Topaz, Mono County, California.
