Sandy Alcántara

Sandy Montero Alcántara (born September 7, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Alcántara signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in July 2013. He made his professional debut in 2014 with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. He spent 2015 with the Gulf Coast Cardinals and started 2016 with the Peoria Chiefs. During a start in May he tied the Chiefs record with 14 strikeouts. He was promoted to the Palm Beach Cardinals during the 2016 season. He finished the 2016 season with a 5-11 record with a 3.96 ERA.

Eliézer Álvarez

Eliézer Álvarez (born October 15, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Álvarez signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in July 2011. He struggled in his first two seasons, batting only .205 in 2012 and .20 in 2013. He blossomed in the 2014 season with the GCL Cardinals, where he batted .353 with a 1.046 OPS. Álvarez spent 2015 with the Johnson City Cardinals, where he posted a .314 batting average. In 2016, Álvarez played his first full season of baseball, as he was promoted to the Peoria Chiefs, where he batted .323 with 6 home runs and 59 RBI's, along with 39 stolen bases. The Cardinals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.

Dylan Carlson

Dylan Carlson is an American baseball outfielder. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.

He rescinded his college commitment to California State University-Fullerton, and agreed on June 14, 2016, to a signing bonus of $1.35 mil., which is $550,500 under the slot value for the 33rd draft pick in the compensatory A round. He spent 2016 with the GCL Cardinals where he batted .251 with 3 home runs and 22 RBI's.

Paul DeJong

Paul Sterling DeJong (born August 2, 1993) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

DeJong attended Illinois State University where he played college baseball for the Redbirds. After his sophomore year in 2014, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 38th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He did not sign with the Pirates and returned to Illinois State. He was then drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2015 MLB Draft.

DeJong signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Johnson City Cardinals. After 10 games he was promoted to the Peoria Chiefs. In 2016, he was selected as a Texas League All-Star while playing for the Springfield Cardinals. He finished the 2016 season batting .260 with 22 home runs and 73 RBI's. After the season, the Cardinals assigned DeJong to the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League (AFL).

Bryce Denton

Bryce Robert Denton (born August 1, 1997) is an American baseball third baseman currently in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He is currently with the Johnson City Cardinals.

He was born in Brentwood, Tennessee and attended Ravenwood High School. Denton was drafted in the 2nd round by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, signed with them, and was assigned to the GCL Cardinals.

Denton spent the 2015 season with GCL where he struggled, only batting .194. Denton spent the 2016 season with the Johnson City Cardinals, where he improved, finishing the season with a .282 batting average, 4 home runs and 26 RBI's.

Chris Ellis

Christopher John Ellis (born September 22, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Ellis was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 50th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. He did not sign with the Dodgers and attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) to play college baseball.

Ellis was then drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He signed and made his professional debut with the Orem Owlz. Ellis started 2015 with the Class A – Advanced Inland Empire 66ers and was later promoted to the Double-A Arkansas Travelers.

On November 12, 2015, the Angels traded Ellis, Sean Newcomb, Erick Aybar and cash to the Atlanta Braves for Andrelton Simmons and Jose Briceno. Ellis was assigned to the Double A Mississippi Braves to start the 2016 season, and promoted to Gwinnett in June. Ellis ended 2016 with a 12-9 record and a 4.49 ERA. After the 2016 season, the Braves assigned Ellis to the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League.

On December 1, 2016, the Braves traded Ellis, John Gant, and Luke Dykstra to the St. Louis Cardinals for Jaime García.

Junior Fernández

Junior Fabio Fernández (born March 2, 1997) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Fernández signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in July 2014. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. He spent 2015 with the Gulf Coast Cardinals and also appeared in two games with the Palm Beach Cardinals. Fernández started 2016 with the Peoria Chiefs, and ended with the Palm Beach Cardinals. He finished the 2016 season with an 8-7 record and a 4.06 ERA.

Anthony García

Anthony García (born January 4, 1992) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball outfielder in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

García made his professional debut in 2009 with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He played for the Puerto Rico national baseball team at the 2015 Pan American Games. He was added to the 40-man roster on November 5, 2015. During the 2016 season, he split time between the Springfield Cardinals and the Memphis Redbirds. He ended the 2016 season batting .238 with 11 home runs and 43 RBI's.

Juan González

Juan Pablo González (born April 5, 1990) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

González played in the Colorado Rockies organization from 2007 to 2013. Prior to 2014 he signed a minor league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 2015, he began the season with the Tulsa Drillers and was later promoted to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers. He was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game. Between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, he appeared in 31 games with a 2.18 ERA. Prior to the 2016 season he signed with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Memphis Redbirds where he posted a 3-1 record with a 5.48 ERA.

Andrew Morales

Andrew John Morales (born January 16, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Morales played college baseball at Rio Hondo College from 2011 to 2012 before transferring to UC Irvine and playing there from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, he was named an All-American and won the Senior CLASS Award for baseball. During his college career he went 42–3 with a 2.00 earned run average (ERA) and 361 strikeouts.

Morales was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He was later promoted to the Palm Beach Cardinals. Morales started 2015 with the Double-A Springfield Cardinals.

Rangel Ravelo

Rangel Ravelo (born April 24, 1992) is a Cuban professional baseball first baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Ravelo was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the sixth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft out of Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Florida. He signed with the White Sox and made his professional debut with the Bristol White Sox. In 2011, he played for Bristol and Kannapolis Intimidators and also spent 2012 with Kannapolis. He returned to Kannapolis to start 2013 and was promoted to the Winston-Salem Dash early in the season. Ravelo played 2014 with the Double-A Birmingham Barons. During the season, he had a 26-game hitting streak. After the season, he was named the Barons Player of the Year after hitting .309 with a .859 on-base plus slugging (OPS) and 11 home runs.

After the 2014 season, the White Sox traded Ravelo, Josh Phegley, Marcus Semien, and Chris Bassitt to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Jeff Samardzija and Michael Ynoa. He played for three Athletics affiliates in 2015: the Arizona League Athletics, Double-A Midland RockHounds, and Triple-A Nashville Sounds. He spent the entire 2016 season with Nashville, finishing with a .262 batting average with 8 home runs and 54 RBI. He was designated for assignment and sent outright to Nashville after the season. The A's invited him to spring training in 2017 as a non-roster player. With no natural position to play at Triple-A, due to Matt Olson's full-time first base assignment, and being too advanced for Double-A, Ravelo was released before the start of the season.

Ravelo then signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Edmundo Sosa

Edmundo Sosa (born March 6, 1996) is a Panamanian professional baseball shortstop in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Sosa signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in July 2012. He made his professional debut in 2013 with the Dominican Summer League Cardinals. He played for the Gulf Coast Cardinals and State College Spikes in 2014 and the Johnson City Cardinals. In 2016, Sosa played for the Panama national baseball team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic qualifiers. Sosa spent 2016 with both the Peoria Chiefs and the Palm Beach Cardinals. He finished 2016 batting .270 with 3 home runs and 34 RBI's. The Cardinals added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

Breyvic Valera

Breyvic Jose Henriquez Valera (born January 8, 1992) is a Venezuelan professional baseball second baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Valera signed with the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in May 2010. He made his professional debut with the Venezuelan Summer League Cardinals. He started 2014 with the Palm Beach Cardinals and was promoted to the Double-A Springfield Cardinals during the season. Valera began 2016 with the Springfield Cardinals and was then promoted to the Memphis Redbirds, where he batted a combined .304 between both teams.

The Cardinals added Valera to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.

Jacob Wilson

Jacob Clinton Wilson (born November 14, 1990) is an American professional baseball second baseman and third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Wilson played college baseball at the University of Memphis for the Tigers from 2009 to 2012. As a senior, he was the Conference USA Player of the Year after hitting .320 with 17 home runs and a 1.009 OPS.

Wilson was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Cardinals and made his professional debut with the Batavia Muckdogs. In 2013, he played for the Peoria Chiefs and Palm Beach Cardinals. He started 2014 with Springfield and was then promoted to the Double-A Springfield Cardinals. His season came to an end after 66 games due to a knee injury. During the 2016 season, he split time between the Memphis Redbirds and the Springfield Cardinals. He finished the 2016 season batting .223 with 14 home runs.

Patrick Wisdom

Patrick Ian Wisdom (born August 27, 1991) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Wisdom played college baseball at Saint Mary's College of California. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Batavia Muckdogs. In 2013, Wisdom played with the Peoria Chiefs and Palm Beach Cardinals. He played 2014 with the Double-A Springfield Cardinals and returned there in 2015. He spent the 2016 season with the Memphis Redbirds where he batted .239 with 5 home runs and 33 RBI's.

Jake Woodford

Jacob Robert Woodford (born October 28, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Woodford was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals 39th overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He finished his first professional season with a 1-0 record and a 2.39 ERA. He spent the 2016 season with the Peoria Chiefs where he posted a 5-5 record with a 3.31 ERA, with 82 strikeouts in 108.2 innings pitched.

Woodford was high school teammates with Kyle Tucker who was also selected in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft.
