Dr. Hari Singh Jachak born on April 16th 1959 at Village Sodhi Nagar, Distt. Ferozpur is renowned Punjabi language Poet who is impressing the audience with his impressive voice and high note for the last more than three decades. He is one of the most important gems of Sikh, Panthak and Punjabi Poetry. He is well qualified poet who has done his MA in English, & Religious Studies and Ph.D on ‘Bhai Santokh Singh Ji De Rache Sikh Sahit Da Alochnatmik Adhyan’. He was topper in MA Religious Studies and got Gold Medal from Punjabi University Patiala. He is also Class One Officer in Defence Accounts Department under Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India . He has written more than 2000 poems on different subjects.
Five Books have been published out of which three are of poetry in Punjabi language, one is regarding History of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, a world famous social NGO and another book is based on his Ph.D thesis. He has also edited two Books of poems of young poets. One Souvenir was also published regarding his manifold personality by Sapt-Sring International Punjabi Kavi Sabha during presentation of S. Pritam Singh Kasad Yadgari Award alongwith Siropao (Rob of Honour) and Rs. 51000/- cash. He is a poet, scholar and theologian who is interested to revitalize Sikh Religion and punjabi culture through his poetry. He has organized and participated in many Kavi Darbars of 52 Poets of fame and young poets and poetesses at Chandigarh, Mohali, Yamunanagar, Delhi, Jallandhar, Mumbai, Paunta Sahib, Damdama Sahib with the cooperation of Office bearers of Gurduara Parbanthak Committees.
There is least need to introduce him as he can be seen easily on on Whattsapp, Twitter, Website, Instagram and especially on Facebook Page ‘Dr Hari Singh Jachak’ and ‘Jachak Poetry’ almost on each day. More than hundred poems in this voice can also be listened on You Tube iteslf . His poems are mostly related to Sikh Guru Sahiban , Sikh History, principles of Sikhism and also on almost all social subjects, events and most important days declared by UNO and other renowned institutions which are celebrated enthusiastically at national and International levels .
He is actively promoting Sikhism and Punjabi culture through his poetry. His poems are very popular and All Punjabi knowing people throughout the world admire his Punjabi Poetry on Social Media 24 hours. One of his poems based on ‘Battle of Saragarhi’ is part of Syllabus of Class Vth of PSEB Mohali. So many rewards and awards have been given to him by Takhats of Khalsa Panth, SGPC, GGSSC and other institutions. He is Addl. Chief Secy., Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Gen. Secy., Sri Dashmesh International Punjabi Kavi Sabha and Chairman of Paramdeep Singh Deep Yadgari Welfare Society. Main aim of his life is to focus, guide and promote the young poets and poetesses.
Family of Hari Singh Jachak
Dr. Hari Singh Jachak born on April 16th, 1959 at village Sodhi Nagar. His father was S.Mehtab Singh and mother was Smt. Ram Kaur. His father died when he was just 12 years old. He was married to Dalbir Kaur on 20th Jan. 1983 who expired on 23-11-2013 due to illness (Dengu). His elder son Paramdeep Singh born on 31-10-1984 and who was Computor Engineer in Dell Company expired on 16-07 2006 in a road accident. Another son Bhupinder Singh born on 13-12-986 is serving in a reputed company at Ludhiana. His daughter Balpreet Kaur born on 31-05-1993 is serving as Manager in HDFC Life at Mumbai. He remarried to Dr. Jagdeep Kaur in 2014 who is MA, M Phil. Ph.D and serving as Lecturer in Sr. Secondary School in Distt. Karnal, Haryana. Now he is residing at House No. 277, Model Gram, Ludhiana
Education
Dr. Hari Singh Jachak matriculated from High school of native village Sodhi Nagar. For graduation, he joined RSD College Ferozpur. He completed his MA in English from SCD Govt. College Ludhiana. Another MA in Religious Studies was passed from Punjabi University, Patiala securing first position. As he was Topper, hence Gold Medal was awarded by then Chancellor of University Jacob. After that he done Ph.D in literature (Bhai Santokh Singh De Rache Sikh Sahit Da Alochnatmik Adhian) from Punjabi University, Patiala. Keeping in view excellence in his thesis and recommendations of University authorities , he was honoured by Guru Harkrishan Society, Chandigarh. Professional Carrier After clearing Auditor’s Grade Exam. Of Staff Selection Commission, Delhi, Dr. Hari Singh Jachak joined at Auditor in Controller of Defence Accounts (Western Command) Chandigarh under Defence Accounts Department, Min. of Defence, Govt. of India. After passing Departmental Exam. of SAS, he became Section Officer and further promoted as AAO, AO and then Sr. Accounts Officer. During his service,he served in the offices of CDA (Western Command), LAO Chandigarh, DEO Chandigarh, AO, 21 BRTF, Joshimath, ALAO Ludhiana, AOGE, Ludhiana, IFA, Bathinda. Rising through the ranks, he became Class One Officer and served as Defence Pension Disbursement Officer, Ludhiana (DPDO) Ludhiana and retired from that office in April 2019. Throughout his service, he served honestly, efficiently and excellently. His seniors officers appreciated him through remarks in APARs.
Activities
Belonging to a devout religious family, he has taken keen interest in Sikh Religion. He was baptized (Amritdhari) at the age of 10 Years and started reciting hymns of Guru Granth Sahib Ji ( Sacred Book of Sikhism) . During his school days, he started reciting poems in ‘Bal Sabha’ and Headmaster, all staff members and students appreciated his performance. During graduation in RSD College, he became President of Youth Service Club and Editor of College Magazine . He also participated in so many Poem recitation and declamation contests and got prizes and awards. He started writing his own poems during his college life. He was also selected by Directorate, Youth Services, Punjab University, Chandigarh to participated in Basic Youth Leadership Training Camp at Dalhousie and performed as Stage Secy. in high note. Again he was selected in as member of Hiking and trekking team and remained at Darjeeling for a week. During these days of college life, he participated in Gurmat Traing Camp at Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib, Sabo Ki Talwandi organized by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle and got first prize in poem recitation competition and was honoured by S. Randhir Singh Cheema then PWD Minister Punjab Govt. and became President of college unit of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle. During his post graduation in SCD Govt. College, Ludhiana, he became President of College unit of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle and then became Part and Parcel of this organization and written its history from 1972 to 1997 in a Book named ‘Dharam Ka Jaikar’ which was released by then Chief Minister of Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal and late S. Gurcharan Singh Tohra then President of Sharomini Gurduara Parbandhak Committee. Rising through ranks, he became Addl. Chief Secy. of this world famous NGO. He is awakening the Sikhs of their cultural identity and rich heritage by writing poems regarding importance of Sikh faith and is also stressing not to shave the heads and beards which is blessing of God and Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Tenth Master of Sikhism..
Literary Activities
Dr. Hari Singh Jachak is well known literary personality due to his poems on social sites such as You tube, Website, Wattsapp, Instagram, twitter and especially on Facebook Pages ‘Jachak Poetry’ and ‘Hari Singh Jachak’. He continuously writing poems on Sikh Religion, Sikh principles and day to day important days and social subjects. All readers wait for his posting on social sites and there is overwhelming response from people throughout the world for 24 hours though comments and likings. Lakhs of people like his poems and more than 2 Lakh people liked his posts on Facebook in last two years as per data collected by Team . He is also General Secy. of Sri Dashmesh International Punjabi Kavi Sabha through which Seven Kavi Darbars of 52 Poets have been organized with the support of Parbandhak Committes of renowned Gurduaras and other institutions. He is also Chairman of Paramdeep Singh Deep Yadgari Welfare Society and organized Young Poets and Poetesses through Karajshalas and Kavi Darbars at Mohali, Ludhiana and Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib, Sabo Ki Talwandi.
