Dennis Radesky (1948 - 2009) was an American film personality. He was a member of the transportation crew for various big name films such as The Silence of the Lambs, Men in Black, Glengarry Glen Ross, and the television series, Sex and the City.
Dennis Radesky was born on July 20, 1948 in New York, NY.
Radesky made his entry in the show business in 1986, in Jonathan Demme-directed romantic/comedy film, Something Wild. He struck a bond with Jonathan Demme and worked with him in the transportation department in many of his movies including, Married to the Mob (1988,) The Silence of the Lambs (1991,) Philadelphia (1993,) and Beloved (1998.) In Philadelphia, besides a being part of the transportation crew, he also played a minor role of Santa Claus.
In 1992, he worked with James Foley in his widely successful and critically-acclaimed film, Glengarry Glen Ross.
In 2009, he worked on the “Lead” episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The episode was dedicated to him, in his memory –– Radesky had died just two weeks before the episode aired on 10 March 2009.
Radesky was married to his wife, Jill. The couple had source children: Kim Carew, Jennifer Graziano, Kristi Plouffe and Denise Radesky.
Radesky died of brain cancer on February 25, 2009 in West Islip, Long Island, New York. He was survived by his wife and four children.
