D. Rafaela da Silva Melo (Lady Rafaela of Wenlock) born on October 19, 1986, in Paulista, Pernambuco, Brazil, as the 4th Countess of Melo, of the direct descent of Rei Filipe V of Spain and Duke of Anjou with his second wife, Princess Isabel Farnésio, mother of Maria Teresa Rafaela of Spain, Luís wife, Delphin de France, whose bust was sculpted by Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne II, the Younger. Her birth was authorized for the church and royal houses of Brazil, Savoy, Bourbon, Valois, Orleans and, also, Württemberg.
Her title is an inheritance from D. Maria da Silva Melo, wife of Estevão Soares de Melo, 6th Lord of Melo. The last person to use the title of Lady Wenlock was called Elizabeth (née Grosvenor), wife of 2nd Baron Wenlock; daughter of 2nd Marquess of Westminster.
She is daughter of, Equestrian Ivo Batista de Melo, Equestrian of the Brazilian Equestrian Order and his wife, Dame Maria Rosânia da Silva Melo, granddaughter of Earl Pedro Ivo de Melo and sister of Equestrian Rodolfo Ivo de Melo.
Education
She did her elementary studies in local schools and in High School, she went to Colégio Americano Batista in Brazil. She studied education, arts, economics and politics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where she was awarded.
She has started a master's degree and plans to earn a Phd in Education.
Life and Career
She is very dedicated to the arts, history, literature and philanthropy. She likes to attend sporting events, festivals, fashion and telecommunications. She was married, divorced in 2016 and is single. Recently, she opened Bank of Melle, focused on stock and bond market and which is part of Bank Rothschild in England.
She is also a book publisher and has a stationery store.
She expressed interest in belonging to a team of explorers who will make the last expedition to the South Pole.
