Christine Woods (born September 3, 1983,) is an American film and television actress and voice actor. She is known for her roles in Hello Ladies (2013-2014), Man with a Plan (2017-2018), and Brockmire (2019.)
Early life and education
Christine Woods was born Christine Elizabeth Woods on September 3, 1983, in Lake Forest, California and was raised in Orange Country, California. She is of English, Polish, Dutch descent.
She performed in the school and starred in a high school theater group called "Soundsation." Later, she studied musical theatre at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, where she trained with Marsha Bagwell.
Woods made her television debut in 2005, appearing as a guest star in the "Prey" episode of the series CSI: Miami.
In 2007, she was seen in the horror film The Haunting of Marsten Manor, playing one of the lead roles of "Erika" alongside Brianne Davis, Ken Luckey, and C. Thomas Howell. The same year, she was seen in a minor role of a waitress in the "Third Wheel" episode of hit television series How I Met Your Mother.
After playing various roles in House (2008), Cold Case (2008,) and In Plain Sight (2009) she landed the recurring role of "Janis Hawk" in the television series Flashforward. She was seen in 22 episodes, starting from "No More Good Days" (September 2009) to "Future Shock" (May 2010.) In the years 2010-2011, she was seen in the recurring role of "Julia" in the television series Perfect Couples.
In 2012, she acted in a Billy Hayes-directed short comedy/thriller titled Franky and the Ant. Sharing the screen with Anthony Pavelich and Emmanuel Todorov, she played the role of blindfolded Kare Bear, for which she won the "Outstanding Acting Performance" award at the 2014 Zed Fest Film Festival. She was also nominated for "Best Actress" at the 2014 Wild Rose Independent Film Festival and "Best Supporting Actress" at the 2014 Maverick Movie Awards.
In 2013, she was cast in her most memorable role, of "Jessica," in television series Hello Ladies. In 2018-2019, she lent her voice to "Entrapta/Octavia" character in the Noelle Stevenson-directed animation series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Most recently, in February 2020, she was seen portraying "Lucretia Colder" in "Terrible, Shocking Things" episode of TV series Briarpatch.
Woods has finished filming for a 2020 comedy film Poor Greg Drowning, which is in post-production (as of March 2020,) with the release date yet to be announced. She will be seen playing one of the lead roles of "Ashley" alongside Cedric the Entertainer, Jenny O'Hara, and Kevin Daniels.
