Benon Szałek

Benon Zbigniew Szałek (ur. 3 listopada 1948 w Szczecinie) – polski lingwista i poliglota, profesor doktor habilitowany nauk ekonomicznych, wykładowca Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego

Absolwent Politechniki Szczecińskiej. W latach 1971-1985 wykładowca macierzystej uczelni. Od 1985 pracuje na Uniwersytecie Szczecińskim. W latach 1990-1996 kierownik Katedry Logistyki Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego.

Założyciel i od 1996 kierownik Zakładu Heurystyki i Prakseologii w Instytucie Politologii Wydziału Humanistycznego Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego. Od 1999 profesor zwyczajny.

Polski badacz pochodzenia języków. Poliglota deklarujący umiejętność czytania i komunikowania się w ponad 20 językach, m.in.: rosyjskim, ukraińskim, niemieckim, angielskim, francuskim, włoskim, hiszpańskim, portugalskim, łacińskim, greckim, japońskim, tamilskim, baskijskim i sumeryjskim. Odkrywca powiązań leksykalnych i gramatycznych wielu języków euroazjatyckich.

Autor teorii drawidyjskiej osi świata. Badacz pisma rongorongo z Wyspy Wielkanocnej.
