Benji Wang (Benjamin Wang) is an American actor, model, and singer best known for his portrayal of Zhao Yun in K.O.3an Guo.
Early life and education
Benji was born on May 20, 1982. His father is from Taiwan and his mother is from Boston.
He grew up in Boston and spent a few years in Taiwan and China studying Chinese and acting. Growing up, he was very interested in Kung Fu. He began studying and practicing martial arts at the age of 8.
Later he attended the University of Massachusetts Boston, from where he received a degree in Political Science. While at the university, he taught martial arts to students.
Career
In 2002, Benji was placed third in a modeling contest in Taiwan. After college graduation, he returned to Taiwan and formally began pursuing a career in both modeling and acting.
He has appeared in TV shows like Confucius (CTV, 2012), Love Buffet (FTV, 2010, ep1), Black and White (PTS 2009), KO3an Guo (FTV, 2009), Love Catcher (TTV, 2008.)
Besides acting, he is also a singer; he is the lead vocalist for the band Team Tiger (Wu Hu Jiang, 武虎將) that he found in early 2009. The group also includes his fellow cast members from the hit TV series K.O.3an Guo.
Benji is also proficient in many forms of martial arts, including Taekwondo, Karate, as well as Sanshou, Tai-chi, Qigong, Wing chun and various other Chinese Wushu forms.
