Barbra Roylance Williams (R. W. Parka) is an American author and television personality. She is best known for appearing as "Barbara Weldon" in the first season of A&E docu-series, 60 Days In.
Williams started off as a writer and has published two books:
- Majoring In Motherhood Paperback (December 29, 2011)
- Second Chances: The Memoir of a Teenage Mom: The Memoir of a Teenage Mom Paperback (August 25, 2013)
Williams made her acting debut in 2013, under the name, "R. W. Parka."
In 2013, she appeared in minor, uncredited roles in three episodes of television series, Hawaii Five-0. The following year, in May 2014, she was seen in an uncredited role in "Home" episode of The Vampire Diaries. In 2016, she was seen in Todd Phillips-directed crime/comedy film, War Dogs. Williams played a minor role of a "woman with dog" in the Miles Teller and Jonah Hill starrer.
In early 2016, Williams volunteered to enter the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana for the first season of A&E's docu-series 60 Days In.
She explained her reason to sign up in the first episode:
I feel strongly about this program because I know that a lot of people go to jail, they get out and they go back to jail again. So I would like to figure out what’s going on, like why is jail not so bad that they’re not afraid to change their ways and go back again?
In the news
In July 2015, Williams made headlines after she expressed her anger on social media towards Ariana Grande's donut-incident in a Los Angeles doughnut shop. Williams and her husband had purchased tickets to Ariana Grande's upcoming concert at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Furious at Grande's behavior at the donut shop, Williams made numerous attempts on instagram to contact Ticketmaster for a refund. Although Ticketmaster makes a refund only if the request is made within the first 72 hours of the sale or if the show is canceled/rescheduled, they did make an exception in this case after approval from Grande whom Williams contacted on instagram.
Barbra is married to Samuel Williams, a military personnel, since 9 October 2010. The couple has two children together: Noah (9) and Luke (7.) The family currently resides in Tampa, Florida.
