Biography
Barbara Nasmyth (15 April 1790 – 11 February 1870) was a Scottish painter and educator. She was a daughter and student of the painter Alexander Nasmyth.
Works
She exhibited with:
- the Royal Scottish Academy from 1830 to 1860
- the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1843
- the Royal Society of British Artists from 1854 to 1866
- the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts from 1862 to 1866
Following her father's death in 1840, she is said to have worked "with success and much respect" in London.
