Biography
Antonio Randa (died 1650) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active in Ferrara, Modena, and his native Bologna.
Biography
Randa first trained with Guido Reni, but afterwards worked under Lucio Massari and Girolamo Curti. He then gained the patronage of the Duke of Modena (1614). Other sources state he fled Bologna after committing murder.
He painted a San Filippo Neri for the church of Santo Stefano, Ferrara; and a Virgin and child with Saints for the church of San Liberale. Alessandro Provagli (died 1636) was one of his pupils.
