Ana Amicarella (born 9 April 1966) is a former synchronized swimmer from Venezuela. She is currently a business executive and serving as the Managing Director at Aggreko, a supplier of temporary power generation equipment and of temperature control equipment.
Early life and education
Amicarella was born on 9 April 1966, in Venezuela. She studied Electrical Engineering at the Ohio State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree in 1987.
In the years 1990-1993, she studied business administration at the Oakland University and received an MBA degree.
Career
In 1984, while attending the Ohio State University, Amicarella competed in the women's solo competition at the 1984 Summer Olympics, held in Los Angeles, California.
She ended her swimming career in 1987, and after receiving the BSEE degree, she worked for GE from 1988 to 2011. In 2011, she joined Aggreko as the Vice President, North American business unit. Currently, she is the Managing Director, Americas power projects, at Aggreko.
Amicarella lives in Houston, Texas, and is married with three children.
