Amy Cole (born 4 November 1980) is an Indian-born British television news presenter currently working with BBC Midlands Today.
Early life
Amy Cole was born on November 4, 1980, in Mumbai, India. She was adopted as a child and came to live in the South West in 1984. She grew up in rural North Devon, England.
Career
Cole started her media career as a newsreader on North Devon's Lantern FM radio station, where she helped to launch a weekend local news service. Earlier, while attending the university, in her second year she worked as a reporter at ITV Westcountry News.
In 2004, she joined BBC Spotlight and has continued to work with BBC ever since. Since 2017, she is a presenter for BBC Midlands Today.
In 2005, Cole received the Silver 2005 Ruby Television Award for 'Best News Film'.
