Alexander Guizzetti

Alexander Guizzetti is the founder of 9d Ventures, private equity and venture capital company in Scottsdale. A natural entrepreneur, Guizzetti majored in Business Management and Real Estate & Urban Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Guizzetti's career has been fueled by diligence and passion. At 9d Ventures, he supports startups that are driven by the same values. His company is focused on finding promising enterprises that need seed round funding or Series A.

Guizzetti founded his first company in 2012, shortly after graduating. (He was able to get a head start by developing the concept for this company in his last year of undergraduate.) The company developed websites that would result in remarkable growth for a number of core products. Many of these sites are still up and running, and Guizzetti continues to be a part of the company's efforts today.

One of the most important priorities for Guizzetti is the ability for a company to affect change. He has first-hand experience with how organizations work and what makes them great. After making his mark as a start-up shortly after graduating, he wanted to experience at an established company too.

He moved to Arizona originally accepting a job at the Vanguard Group. To earn his position there, he first had to pass his FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 exams. While he was at the company, he was always looking for smarter ways to do his job. When he searched for the solutions though, he found them to be lacking at best and counterproductive at worst.

This is the paradox of large companies today: conglomerates and juggernauts may run the show, but they aren't able to adapt as quickly to the market as they may need to. Startups are different, and it shows in their results. At 9d Ventures, Guizzetti finds leaders who understand the true value of agility and resourcefulness in the marketplace today.

You can see this in Guizzetti's own strategy. Both of Guizzetti's companies put the end-user first. Those who use or interact with products and services are the ones who will determine where a company goes next. Understanding their needs is the best way to keep a company at the forefront of change rather than constantly struggling to keep up.

As Guizzetti juggles daily demands, he's also working on a messaging app called DirectMessage.me that will connect celebrities and fans. This is another key trait of this motivated professional — his willingness to do far more than is asked. In addition to starting his companies and working for the Vanguard Group, Guizzetti also has his real estate license and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin.

Guizzetti's success can be attributed to his tireless drive, but he knows the importance of making time for more than work. From working out to relaxing with his beloved dog, Guizzetti understands the perils of burnout and the necessity of time off. His schedule allows enough time to recharge as it does to get things done.
