Alex is an award winning Creative Director with a reputation for delivering ground breaking projects in diverse media. His strength is an analytic approach to the brief, working collaboratively to clarify goals and decide outcomes. He constantly strives for quality of production through his large network of established design and technology practitioners.
20 years of independent creative production have led to 4 BAFTA and 3 RTS wins and nominations for interaction design and film title design, multiple D&AD and Design Week awards in projects spanning web, mobile, film and illustration.
Alex lectures and judges design competitions internationally. He is currently a designer / director working extensively with Experience Master Planners, FreeState. www.freestate.co.uk
Past:
Alex graduated from and then became a research fellow at the Royal College of Art. He worked on feature films after college before founding the internationally famous design company, Airside in 1997 with Fred Deakin and Nat Hunter. Airside was renowned for cross discipline projects spanning digital and film. He was Creative Director at Airside for 14 years before starting the award winning design agency Rupert Ray from 2012 - 2017.
