Biography
Aiko Greig is an American-born Scottish poet, writer, and marketing professional, currently serving as School Marketing Officer at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Aiko Greig was born in Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (2002-2006), where she obtained her double Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mass Communications with computing specialization and English with poetry specialization. She then relocated to Scotland, where she attended the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2009.
In 2015, Greig won a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award. Her poetry has been published in various magazines and included in several anthologies, most recently The Umbrellas of Edinburgh (Freight, 2016).
Since May 2018, Greig is School Marketing Officer at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh. Earlier, from November 2012 until April 2018, she was a Marketing and Student Recruitment Administrator for the University of Edinburgh Business School.
In 2006-2007, Greig was an English teacher at Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in Sendai, Miyagi, Japan.
