Agnes Heron Miller was an American stage actress. She was the wife of American actor and military officer Tim McCoy(1891 – 1978).
Life and career
Miller came from an artistically inclined family. Her parents were the actors Henry Miller (1859-1926) and Bijou Heron(1863-1937). Her grandparents were actress Matilda Heron (1830-1877) and German-born American composer/conductor Robert Stoepel (1821-1887). She had two brothers—theatrical producer Gilbert Miller (1884-1969) and actor/director Rube Miller (1886-1927.)
Miller made her stage debut in New York in 1911 in a small part in Sophocles' Oedipus Rex, with John E Kellerd.
In January-February 1913, she performed in The Isle o' Dreams at Grand Opera House, New York. The play was produced by her father, Henry Miller, and written by Rida Johnson Young, with music by Ernest R. Ball and lyrics by Chauncey Olcott and George Graff Jr.
Around that time, Miller played Ethel Chichester in J. Hartley Manners' Peg o' My Heart, alongside Laurette Taylor and Herbert Ashton.
In May 1945, Miller was seen in James S. Elliott-produced Too Hot for Maneuvers (written and directed by Les White and Bud Pearson) at Broadhurst Theatre, New York.
Personal life
Miller married actor Tim McCoy in 1920. The marriage ended in divorce in 1931. They had three children—son Gerald, daughter Margarita, and son D'Arcy.
