Zeng Rong
Quick Facts
Biography
Zeng Rong is a Chinese biochemist researching and developing technology for protein group research. She is currently a principal investigator at the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences.
Biography
Zeng's research team at the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences has discovered "variant proteins in liver cancers and their surrounding tissues," which can aid in cancer detection. Her research continues to focus on methodology development in proteomics, application of quantitative proteomics in cell signalling, application of quantitative proteomics in "biomarker discovery of diabetes" and investigating the regulation mechanisms of protein dynamic behaviors.
In 2005, she was awarded a Chinese Young Women in Science Fellowship award.
Zeng has been published in Electrophoresis, Nature, Science, Proteomics, BMC Genomics, Journal of Proteome Research, the Journal of Molecular Cell Biology, and Molecular & Cellular Proteomics.
