Biography
Yuan-tsung Chen (eller etter kinesisk skikk med familienavnet først: Chen Yuan-tsung) er en kinesisk forfatter. Chen ble født i Shanghai. Etter revolusjonen arbeidet hun ved filmbyrået i Beijing, og 1951 deltok hun i gjennomføringen av jordreformen i provinsen Gansu i nordvestre Kina. I 1972 flyttet hun til USA.
Hun er kjent særlig fore bøkene The Dragon's Village (1981) og Return to the Middle Kingdom: The Chen Family Saga and the Birth of Modern China.
