Biography
Yoo Yeon-seong (born August 19, 1986 in South Korea) is a South Korean professional badminton player.
He specializes in doubles events and was ranked as high as No. 2 worldwide with his former partner, Ko Sung-hyun. The two also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. For a long time he played mixed doubles with Kim Min-jung, but has now switched partners and plays with Jang Ye-na. Since late 2013, his men's doubles partner has been Lee Yong-dae. Together, they are currently ranked at No.1 worldwide.
Yoo has announced that he will be retiring and hanging up his national team jersey after the Korea Open this September.
Yoo said that he wants to spend more time with his family.
