Biography
Yao started playing at birthdays, weddings and other popular fests when he was 12 years old, with his father Claude, who taught him the accordion. Those were two years playing just two accordions. At 14 years old, he asked his dad: "Why won't we hire a drummer and bass player?" "Why not?" was the answer, and so were born the "DOMINOS" in Courchapoix, Jura.
Living in State of Bahia since 1997, Yao feels very grateful: there's no city like Salvador. The music is very present in all neighbourhoods, from historic center to far peripheral ones... Please come and visit our socio-educative project "BAHIA ARTE SALVADOR", workshops for needy population of Salvador.
