Biography
William Suhr (born March 31, 1896 Kreutzberg - 2003) was an American art conservator, and conservator of the Frick Collection, from 1935 to 1977.
Life
He studied at the Prussian Academy of Arts, and worked with Wilhelm Valentiner, at the Detroit Institute of Arts beginning in 1927.
His papers are held at the J. Paul Getty Museum.
His letters are held at the Archives of American Art.
