Biography

William Henry Yaldwyn (6 September 1800 - 28 September 1866) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Council.
Yaldwyn was born in Lodsworth, Sussex, England in 1800 to Richard Yaldwyn and his wife Martha (née Serle) and was privately educated on the family estate. He was appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council on the 1 May 1860 and resigned on the 13 June 1863. Once again being appointed on the 1 May 1865, he served until his death one year later on the 28 September 1866.
In 1831 he had married Henrietta Mary Bowles in Cuckfield, Sussex. They were to have three children including William Yaldwyn Jr., who also went on to be appointed to the Queensland Legislative Council. Yaldwyn died in 1866.
