Biography

William Halliwell (født 11. mars 1864 i Roby Mill nær Wigan, død 24. april 1946) var en berømt britisk dirigent for brassband.

Halliwell dirigerte en rekke profilerte brassband: Fodens Band, Black Dyke Band, Brighouse & Rastrick Band, Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Wingates Band og Besses o' th' Barn. Han vant British Open Brass Band Championships 17 ganger som dirigent, en rekord som fremdeles står.
