Biography
William Beal (17 March 1877 – 3 August 1964) was an Australian-born New Zealand cricketer who played for Otago. He was born in Launceston and died in Dunedin.
Beal made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1909-10 season, against Auckland. From the tailend, he scored 1 not out in the first innings in which he batted, and a duck in the second, as Otago lost the match by an innings margin.
Beal later stood as umpire in three first-class matches. His brother, Carl, played for Otago and Canterbury.
