Wilda Mae Benoit (born January 13, 1978) is a missing person as of July 23, 1992. She is featured in Soul Asylum's music video for Runaway Train.
Disappearance
Benoit was seen was last seen at her family’s home in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. At the time of her disappearance, Benoit was heavily sedated due to a shoulder injury she suffered earlier, as well as wearing a hospital gown.
Investigation and aftermath

At one point, authorities believed that she may be living in Florida. Benoit's sister had stated that she may have left home because she was not happy with her living situation. In 2005 her case was reclassified from a runaway case to an endangered missing persons case. Her parents believe she did not leave of her own free will.
