Biography
Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad (Kannada: ಡಾ. ವಿ. ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್) (born on 3 December 1975), known as Kaviratna V. Nagendra Prasad and Nalla Nagendra Prasad. He is born to M. V. Venkata Ramanappa and Chandramma in remote village Ijjala GaTTa of Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya District in Karnataka State. Prasad did his schooling in Bangalore, studied post graduate in Kannada Literature at Mysore.
Career
V. Nagendra Prasad started his career under the guidance of legendary Kannada music director Dr. Hamsalekha. He made his debut as Kannada lyricist in the movie Gajina Mane which was directed by K. V. Jayaram in 2000.
Hence he is a popular lyricist in Kannada CinemaHe composed music, directed movies, and written dialogues for movies and TV serials. Nagendra is also a dramatist, he has acted, directed and written dialogues for stage and street dramas. Nagendra played supporting roles in Kannada Cinema. In 2015, he is debuting as a lead actor in "Guruji".
Lyrcist
He has written more than 1000 songs for 400+ movies, 30 devotional albums and 39 TV serials. He never wrote remake songs for remake tunes. Even for commercial movies he uses to write songs with lot of social concerns. And his songs are filled by the values like love, peace, democracy, secularism, social justice, brotherhood and patriotic.

Dramatist
Nagendra Prasad has written, directed and published four stage plays. They are Shwetarka, Nelada Nakshatra Baahubali, Kattalegalu Maataduttave and AshTaavakrana AntaraaLa. He has written and directed more than ten street plays, is acted in more than 1000 street plays, has written & directed 15 Radio Drama for Akashvani.
Teaching
V. Nagendra Prasad, as the secretary of Karnataka Film Directors Assoction Film Institution is conducting Film Direction Courses for new comers. And as a guest faculty he has taken classes for the students studying in other film institutions like Vijaya Film Institute, Srushti Film institute, and Adarsha Film Institution.
