Biography
Ujwal Thapa (Nepali: उज्वल थापा) is an youth leader and activist, entrepreneur and social worker. He is the president of youth based party Bibeksheel Nepali. He has been leading Bibeksheel Nepali in the different youth staged protests at Maitighar Mandala in support of senior orthopaedic surgeon of Tribhuwan University Maharajganj Teaching Hospital Dr. Govinda K.C. who has been in fast-unto-death for reforms in Medical Sector. He also led to symbolic protest against Member of Legislature Parliament of Nepal at Baneshwor, Kathmandu demanding affordable medical facilities for the citizens. He together another CPN-UML youth leader Yogesh Bhattarai has demanded youth issues to be focussed in the upcoming local level election.
He had participated as an independent candidate in the Nepalese Constituent Assembly election, 2013 from Kathmandu Constituency Number 5.
Agriculturalist and entrepreneur
In 2002, he developed Max Digital Solutions, a website development and software branding business. He then helped to build WordPress Nepal, an IT community of Nepal. He has established Shangrila Coffee, a coffee farm in Syangja district on 2009.
