Keegan Akin

Keegan Lee Akin (born April 1, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Akin attended Bullock Creek High School in Midland, Michigan and played college baseball at Western Michigan University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.

Akin made his professional debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds and spent all of 2016 there, posting a 1.04 ERA in 26 innings. He spent 2017 with the Frederick Keys where he pitched to a 7-8 record and 4.14 ERA in 21 starts, and he spent 2018 with the Bowie BaySox, going 14-7 with a 3.27 ERA in 25 starts. He began 2019 with the Norfolk Tides.

Rylan Bannon

Rylan Bannon (born April 22, 1996) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Bannon graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy and played college baseball at Xavier University. In 2017, he was the Big East Conference Baseball Player of the Year. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the eighth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He signed and made his professional debut with the Ogden Raptors, batting .336/.425/.591 with ten home runs and 30 RBIs in 40 games. He began 2018 with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, where he hit .296 in 89 games with 20 homers and 61 RBIs and was eventually honored with the California League Most Valuable Player Award.

On July 18, 2018, Bannon was traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with Breyvic Valera, Dean Kremer, Yusniel Díaz, and Zach Pop in exchange for Manny Machado. He was assigned to the Bowie Baysox and finished the season there, batting .204 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 32 games. He returned to Bowie to begin 2019. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Surprise Saguaros following the 2019 season.

Michael Baumann

Michael Thomas Baumann (born September 10, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Baumann attended Mahtomedi High School in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, and played for the school's baseball and American football teams. The Minnesota Twins selected him in the 34th round of the 2014 MLB draft. He did not sign, instead enrolling at Jacksonville University to play college baseball for the Jacksonville Dolphins. The Baltimore Orioles selected him in the third round of the 2017 MLB draft. In 2018, Baumann began the season with the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League. He received a promotion in May to the Frederick Keys of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League.

His older brother, Nick, also played baseball and football at Mahtomedi.

Yusniel Díaz

Yusniel Efraín Díaz Hechavarría (born October 7, 1996) is a Cuban professional baseball outfielder in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Díaz played for the Industriales of the Cuban National Series and hit .348/.448/.440 over 65 games as a rookie. He was the favorite to win the Cuban National Series Rookie of the Year Award, but defected before the award was given out.

Díaz signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in November 2015. The Dodgers assigned him to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the Advanced Class-A California League to begin his professional career. In 82 games for the Quakes in 2016, he hit .267 with eight homers and 54 RBI. In 2017, he played in 83 games for the Quakes and 31 for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers andhit .292 with 11 homers and 52 RBI. He was assigned to play in the Arizona Fall League and was chosen for the Fall Stars Game showcase. Díaz remained with Tulsa to begin 2018 and was selected to the "world" team at the All-Star Futures Game.

On July 18, 2018, Díaz was traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with Breyvic Valera, Dean Kremer, Rylan Bannon, and Zach Pop in exchange for Manny Machado. He was assigned to the Bowie Baysox and finished the year there. In 97 games between Tulsa and Bowie, he slashed .285/.392/.449 with 11 home runs and 45 RBIs. He returned to Bowie to begin 2019.

Luis González

Luis Humberto González (born January 17, 1992) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

González signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent in 2010. After being released by the Phillies in July 2013, he signed a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles. Entering the 2016 season, the Orioles converted him from a starting pitcher into relief.

After the 2017 season, he played in the Arizona Fall League.

Tyler Herb

Tyler Matthew Herb (born April 28, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Herb attended Williams Valley High School in Tower City, Pennsylvania and played college baseball at Coastal Carolina University. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 29th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He signed and spent 2014 with the AZL Mariners, High Desert Mavericks, and Clinton LumberKings, pitching to a combined 3-4 record and 4.62 ERA in 20 relief appearances betweenthe three teams. In 2015, he played for Clinton, compiling a 7-8 record and 4.64 ERA in 27 starts, and in 2016, he pitched for both the Bakersfield Blaze and Jackson Generals, posting a combined 9-6 record and 3.98 ERA with 134 strikeouts in 26 total starts between the two teams. Herb began 2017 with the Arkansas Travelers.

On July 3, 2017, Herb was traded to the San Francisco Giants for cash. San Francisco assigned him to the Richmond Flying Squirrels, where he finished the season. In 26 total starts between Arkansas and Richmond, he was 8-7 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

The Giants added him to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season. He spent the 2018 season with the Sacramento River Cats, going 2-8 with a 5.35 ERA in 13 starts.

On March 23, 2019, Herb was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Mike Yastrzemski. He was assigned to Double-A Bowie to start the 2019 season.

Marcos Molina

Marcos Molina (born March 8, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Molina signed with the New York Mets as an international free agent in January 2012. He made his professional debut that season with the Dominican Summer League Mets and spent the whole season there, going 5-2 with a 3.58 ERA in 14 games (13 starts). In 2013, he pitched for the Gulf Coast Mets where he compiled a 4-3 record and 4.39 ERA in 53.1 innings pitched.

Pitching for the Brooklyn Cyclones in 2014, Molina won the Mets Sterling Award after going 7–3 with a 1.77 earned run average (ERA) and 91 strikeouts in 12 starts. He played 2015 with the St. Lucie Mets and Gulf Coast Mets, but pitched in only nine games due to injury and after the season underwent Tommy John Surgery. He missed the 2016 season recovering from the surgery, but returned to pitch in the Arizona Fall League.

The Mets added Molina to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season. In 2017, he played for both St. Lucie and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, pitching to a 5-10 record, 3.21 ERA, and 1.13 WHIP in 18 games (17 starts) between the two teams. MLB.com ranked him as New York's eighth ranked prospect going into the 2018 season.

Pitching the majority of the 2018 season with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Molina struggled to 1-10 record with a 6.94 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in 16 starts before he was released from the organization on July 11, 2018. On August 2, Molina was suspended for the rest of the season after testing positive for the performance-enhancing substance Clostebol. Despite his suspension, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on August 6.

Zach Pop

Zachery M. Pop (born September 20, 1996) is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Pop attended Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 23rd round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and played college baseball at the University of Kentucky.

Pop was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB Draft. He signed and made his professional debut with the AZL Dodgers, pitching five scoreless innings. In 2018, he began the year with the Great Lakes Loons before being promoted to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

On July 18, 2018, Pop was traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with Breyvic Valera, Dean Kremer, Yusniel Diaz, and Rylan Bannon in exchange for Manny Machado. He was assigned to the Bowie Baysox and finished the season there. In 44 relief appearances between Great Lakes, Rancho Cucamonga, and Bowie, he compiled a 2-3 record with a 1.53 ERA. He returned to Bowie to begin 2019,and went 1-0 with a 0.84 ERA in 10.2 innings. On May 14, he underwent Tommy John surgery, and will miss the rest the 2019 season.

Jomar Reyes

Jomar Michel Reyes Pimentel (born February 20, 1997) is a Dominican professional baseball third baseman in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Reyes signed with the Baltimore Orioles as an international free agent in January 2014. He made his professional debut that year with the Gulf Coast Orioles and spent the whole season there, batting .285 with four home runs and 29 RBIs in 53 games. He spent 2015 with the Delmarva Shorebirds where he batted .278 with five home runs and 44 RBIs in 84 games, 2016 with the Frederick Keys where he compiled a .228 batting average with ten home runs and 51 RBIs in 126 games, and 2017 back with Frederick where he slashed .302/.333/.434 with four home runs and 21 RBIs in only 50 games due to missing the first three months of the season due to a wrist injury.

Bruce Zimmermann

Bruce Anthony Zimmermann (born February 9, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Zimmermann graduated from Loyola Blakefield in 2013. Undrafted out of high school in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, he enrolled at Towson University to play college baseball before transferring to the University of Mount Olive after his sophomore year. In 2017, as a senior at Mount Olive, he was 9-2 with a 3.18 ERA in 15 starts, striking out 129 batters in 99 innings. After his senior year, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the fifth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for $10,000, and was assigned to the Danville Braves, where he was 0-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 11 starts. He began 2018 with the Rome Braves, with whom he was named a South Atlantic League All-Star, before being promoted to the Mississippi Braves in June.

On July 31, 2018, Zimmermann, Jean Carlos Encarnacion, Brett Cumberland, Evan Phillips and international signing money were traded to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Kevin Gausman and Darren O'Day. He was assigned to the Bowie Baysox and finished the season there. In 25 starts between Rome, Mississippi, and Bowie, he compiled an 11-7 record with a 3.21 ERA. He returned to Bowie to begin 2019 before being promoted to the Norfolk Tides in July. Over 25 games (24 starts) between the two clubs, Zimmermann pitched to a 7-6 record with a 3.21 ERA, striking out 134 over 140 innings.
