Early life and education
Troy Bishop was born Troy Carl Bishop on September 21, 1972, in Warren, Ohio. He is a graduate of Stanford University, California.
Career
Bishop got his start in acting in 1983, at the age of 11, appearing in Shirley MacLaine, Jack Nicholson, and Debra Winger starrer comedy film Terms of Endearment. He played the character of "Tommy Horton," one of the sons of "Emma Horton" (played by Debra Winger.) Bishop's brother, "Teddy Horton," was played by former child actor Huckleberry Fox. The following year he was seen as "Danny" in "Steel Trap" episode of television series Hot Pursuit.
After a break, he was seen again in 1996, playing supporting roles in the TV movies The Siege at Ruby Ridge (as Justin Coulter) and Shaughnessy (as Mickey.) The same year he was seen in Drew Barrymore, Courteney Cox, and Neve Campbell starrer horror film Scream.
In February 2000, Bishop was seen as "Jim" in four episodes of the television series Undressed: Gonorrhea, Wheelchair, Spring Fling, and Butler.
In 2004, he played one of the primary roles in Gregory Zymet-directed short film Apartment 206. For the role, he received an honorable mention for the Best Actor award at ShockerFest 2005.
Most recently, in 2012, he was seen playing the role of a broker in "Whatever It Takes" episode of the TV series Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.
Personal life
Bishop is married to his wife Brandy L. Bickford, since August 30, 2003.
He is also a licensed private pilot.
