Biography
Trond Hjelle (born 23 March 1974) is a retired Norwegian football goalkeeper.
Hailing from Stranda, he started his career in Velledalen og Ringen (VRF), went on to Stranda in 1991 and represented Stranda in the 1992 2. divisjon. In 1993 he joined Molde. The following year he was an unused substitute in the cup final, which Molde won, and also in the Norway under-21 matches against Egypt and Egypt under-23. Five seasons in Hødd followed, the 1995 season on the first tier.
Ahead of the 2000 season he signed for Kjelsås, but quit his contract and moved home to Møre with the season barely having started. In 2001 he played for Førde, leaving after one season.
In the mid-2000s he became goalkeeper coach of Kristiansund BK. Since 2013 he is also the principal of Atlanten Upper Secondary School, having taken his education at Volda University College and Molde University College.
