Biography

Toshihiko Masuda (増田 敏彦, Masuda Toshihiko, born 1960) is a Japanese Emmy Award winning Director, Animator, and storyboarder, who is associated with P.A.Works, TMS Entertainment, The Answer Studio Co. Ltd., Studio Ghibli, and Warner Bros. Animation.

He is known for Akira, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, the Lupin the Third franchise, Howl's Moving Castle, the naruto franchise, Tales from Earthsea, Ponyo, DuckTales, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, The New Batman Adventures, Sonic X, and Pokémon.

Biography/Person

Joined 1980, as a leading animator and director of Telecom Animation Film, a subsidary of TMS. He also directed overseas films and won the Emmy Award in 1998 for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program for both Superman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures.

Currently, he has worked mainly on TMS Entertainment works and sometimes serves as Character Design.
