Tom Shaner

Tom Shaner is an American politician and former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He represented the 148th legislative district from 2005 to 2013.

Tom Shaner is a member of the Democratic Party.

During his time in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Tom Shaner served on several committees, including the Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, the Game and Fisheries Committee, the Aging and Older Adult Services Committee, and the Health and Human Services Committee.

During his time in office, Tom Shaner helped secure funding for various infrastructure projects in his district, including road improvements and sewage upgrades. He also worked on legislation related to renewable energy, natural resources, and senior citizen issues.

After leaving the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Tom Shaner became the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Campus Compact, a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to promoting community engagement and civic responsibility among students. He also served as Associate Vice President for Community Engagement at East Stroudsburg University.
