Cafodd ei eni ym Mynydd Bach, Ceredigion yn 1697. Ar 5 Ebrill 1744 cafodd trwydded pregethu gan sesiynau chwarter Caerfyrddin. Yn 1724 cyhoeddodd ei Oes-lyfr, lyfr o ddigwyddiadau, mewn tair rhan.
