Thaneth Warakulnukroh (September 9, 1958) Thai: ธเนศ วรากุลนุเคราะห์ is a veteran Thai singer, songwriter, record producer, DJ, and actor. He was also a founder and owner of Music Bugs Company, a record label, where many popular “Rock Star Bands” including but not limited to Bodyslam, Big Ass, Labanoon and Friday released its first albums.
As a singer and songwriter, Thaneth Warakulnukroh has released 4 studio albums. His first two albums, under Nite Spot Production, are his well-known master pieces, “Dan Civilize” (Civilized land beyond the horizon-1985)[1] and “Kon Kien Pleng Bun Leng Chi Wit” (The songwriter portrays lives-1987)[2]. Both albums are recognized as one of the best “Rock Album” and “Concept Album” by critics and musicians, making Thaneth Warakulnukroh the legendary of progressive rock music in Thailand.
During 1989 - 1992, Thaneth Warakulnukroh has released “Kod Pum” (Uncontrollable-1989)[3] and “Rock Kra Tob Mai” (Small World-1992)[4] with a major record label GMM Grammy. These two albums has marked as his new era of work, an commercial-art era. Many of his songs in this period hit the top charts and become a national-wide favorites to these days.
In 1996, He found “Music Bugs Records” and produced many successful albums with Bodyslam, Big Ass, Labanoon, Friday and more. Many of their songs hit the charts. Since then, Bodyslam, Big Ass and Labanoon has all become a most favorite band in Thailand to this date.
After his long 23 years of absence, Thaneth Warakulnukroh returned to the music industry in 2015 with the 5th. studio album, a concept album, “Thaneth Warakulnukroh : PLER the album” by his new record company “Rock Opera House Records”. More than 30 songs would be packed in this album as he said.
Thaneth Warakulnukroh inroduced this new album with a kick-start concert “Thaneth Warakulnukroh : PLER the concert "[5] in October 2015 with a massive line-up on the stage include Thanachai Ujjin (Moderndog), Toon-Bodyslam, Big Ass, Labanoon, Stamp-Apiwat, Two-Popetorn, Tul-Apartment Khunpa, Image-Suthita (The Voice Thailand), and Boy-Lomosonic.
