Biography
Thalia Gouma-Peterson (died 2001) was Professor Emerita of English at Oberlin College and artist and art historian. She taught at Oberlin College from 1960-1968, before taking a full professor position at the College of Wooster, where she chaired the art department. Her books include Miriam Schapiro: Shaping the Fragments of Art and Life on the work and life of feminist artist, Miriam Shapiro; and Anna Komnene and Her Times (2000), on a Byzantine princess (that was co-edited by Marcia Colish. Gouma-Peterson also served as the Wooster College Museum Director.
