Biography
Svend Olling (born 9 November 1967 in Glostrup) is a Danish diplomat, who has been Danish Ambassador in Turkey since September 2016 and Aserbajdsjan since Mart 2017.
Svend Olling graduated from Copenhagen University in 1994 as cand.polit. He has been posted to the embassy in Washington, D.C. in the U.S. and to Berlin, Germany. From 2010 to 2013, he was the Danish Ambassador in Dhaka, Bangladesh and latest in Ankara, Turkey since 2016. In the Danish Foreign Ministry, Svend Olling has primarily worked with European Politics, Export Promotion and IT. He was responsible for the logistics regarding the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference COP15 in 2009.
Svend Olling is married with cand.scient Ann Kjær Olling. Together they have three children: Asbjørn (1997), Astrid (1999) and Ingrid Kjær Olling (2004).
Svend Olling was appointed Knight of the Dannebrog in 2008.
