Susan "Susie" Scott (August 22, 1938—June 16, 2009) was an American model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the February 1960 issue.
Susan Scott was born on August 22, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Lenora Sagorske. She had three siblings—Ester Dutt, Annetta Brenn Sagorske, and Harold Sagorske Jr. From her mother, Susan learned to cook, sew, and manage a household. From her father, she learned the value of an honest day's labor and to live within her means.
After finishing her high school, she moved to Los Angeles, California, with her sister, Annetta. While there, she worked a clerical job by day as a receptionist.
Standing 5'7" tall and at 130 lbs, Susan was selected to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine and was hired by Playboy Enterprises in Chicago where she befriended artistic celebrities of the time including Lenny Bruce, Dick Gregory, and Paul Desmond. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the February 1960 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli. She later appeared on the cover of the July 1961 issue of Playboy, as well as in the famous December 1961 Playmate Holiday House Party pictorial.
After careers as a legal secretary and administrative assistant with the March of Dimes, Susan moved to Champaign, Illinois. In 1990, she helped start the Old Vic Art Gallery in downtown Champaign with her business partner, Victor Pella.
Death
Susan died of lung cancer on June 16, 2009, at the age of 70.
