Biography
Suroor Barabankvi (1919–1980) (Urdu: سرور بارہ بنکوی ) was an Urdu poet and lyricist from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India. Born Syed Saeed ur Rehman, he wrote under the takhallus (pen name) Suroor (exhilaration). He made various films including, Akhri Station. He died in 1980 at Karachi, Pakistan.
