Steven A. White

Steven A. White is a retired American physicist and professor who made significant contributions to the field of particle physics and experimental nuclear physics.

Steven A. White worked as a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Indiana University Bloomington.

Steven A. White's research interests include studying the fundamental properties, structure, and interactions of particles and nuclei, as well as the development and application of detectors and instrumentation for particle physics experiments.

Steven A. White is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and has received several honors and awards, including the Distinguished Professor of Natural Sciences at Indiana University and the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship.

Steven A. White received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1978, and his Ph.D. in Physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1984.
