Steve A. Cwodzinski (born September 8, 1958) is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), he represents District 48 in the western Twin Cities metropolitan area.
Early life, education, and career
Cwodzinski was born on September 8, 1958, in California and was raised by his mother and grandfather. During middle school, his mother married and they moved to Superior, Wisconsin. Cwodzinski attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Education and later a Master of Arts in secondary education. He was a teacher of American government for 33 years and taught at Eden Prairie High School for 31 years until retiring in 2016.
Minnesota Senate
Cwodzinski was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016, defeating Republican Minority Leader David Hann.
Personal life
Cwodzinski and his wife, Patti, have two children and reside in the Hennepin Village neighborhood in Eden Prairie.
